SPR# KMAO5L736Z - Notes OLE/COM classes are now correctly registered during installation.

Technote Number: 1112239

Problem:
The Notes 6.x Client installer does not correctly register the Nlsxbe.dll file,
which can affect the running of COM toolkit based applications. In cases where
the 6.x installation was to the same directory as previously used for Notes 5.x
the previous registration for the Nlsxbe.dll will be sufficient to avoid any
issues. If a new directory was used or this was a new installation then the
issue will occur.
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TGUZ5KAKX2, and was
fixed in Notes 6.0.3 and 6.5.1.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.3 MR fix list (available at
http://www.lotus.com/ldd):
Install/Setup/Registration
SPR# TGUZ5KAKX2 - Added registration of LotusScript Back-end Classes COM
interface. This regression was introduced in 6.0. Prior to this fix, the
installer did not register nlsxbe.dll.
Workaround:
If Notes 6.x was installed to a new directory:
Use Regedit to update the path for the (Default) parameter of the registry
entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{29131539-2EED-1069-BF5D-00DD011186B7}
\InprocServer32
To easily locate the key search for the entry nlsxbe.dll.
If Notes 6.x is a new installation then the dll can be registered:
Use the Windows menu Start -> Run and execute CMD, which will start a Dos
window.
Switch to the Notes 6.x program directory and execute: regsvr32 nlsxbe.dll
